In the year of 1968, on an undecided day in November in a locally known neighborhood; Frog Bottom to Betty Rine Stevenson and Charlie Colister united throughout the streets of Columbus, Mississippi Nanna Peached highlight the memories of many nights of Big Valley, a favorite western to the couple in the 60s.
Big Moma Ida chose to relocate and headed up north on Highway 55 in hopes of reaching Michigan. As the family approached Saint Louis, Missouri, Betty went into labor. After arriving to Homer G. Phillips and born on the highway, Anna Lee Stevenson was here in August of 1969. Big Moma decided to stay in St. Louis allowing little Anna Belle to eventually rope and catch the eyes of a neighborhood superstar, Robert Lee Walker-Smith Sr.
Rupert, as everyone called him and Anna Belle committed to being friends uniting would later create their legacy and memories. Upon the light of the world, an angel arrives and appeared before Anna and Robert in the care of St. Louis University, Princess Patricia Denise Stevenson on October 4, 1987.
Being the oldest of six siblings, Cheris Gholston-Burke, Shimika Smith, Robert L. Smith Jr., Miesha Stevenson-Hambrick, and Iyanna Smith leavers her light to carry and shine. Patricia, also known as Poody, accomplished her success in education becoming an alumnus of the Sumner High School Bulldogs.
Patricia would venture out on a journey that would lead her to greet with love many individuals building who she was. Poody would come around making memorable moments with fourteen nieces and nephew watching nickelodeon cartoons, playing video games, and eating noobies as teetee called them.
Throughout the city neighboring communities Patricia danced with a smile of Joy in the lived of many. She respectfully leaves her memories among aunts, uncles, cousin, sister-in-law; Mrs. Charlene Otey-Smith; two brothers-in-law, Courtney Burke and Mario Hambrick; two Godmothers, and five Godfathers. Poody passes her security of family love embracing four God sisters and Godbrothers, and her God aunt. Most of all, Patricia respectfully gives her inspirational love to her nanna, Betty Rine Stevenson.
While being curious and extending Trisha embarked life obstacles, challenges, and overcomings beyond all measures. During this time, Papoo learned to build working with her hands and spread love inside the community. She worked and volunteered with St. Patrick Center and Message and a Meal. For Trisha, comfort and peace at the library relaxing and other times in the park with friends.
So as this day may be and seem the way it is, “It is very True!” October 1, 2020, God has called HIS child, “ME”!!!! Yall, ME!!! Hold your heads up, wipe away the tears, smile and remember me for “who I am,” “who I was” and who you will become as you continue to manifest. Yes, I’ve parted this world but never will I separate from you. So know I’ll just be up a lil’ bit higher watching over everyone with my wings protecting you all. I Love You All Very Much. Till we meet and greet again......
