Obituary of MIchelle Chism

Michelle Chism was born in St.louis Missouri on May 5, 1959 to James( who preceded her in death) & Janet Chism . Michelle was the first born of 3 siblings. Vernon Greene Jr (who preceded her in death),and her sister Yvette. Michelle had 4 children Vereena (Resha), Vickie, Vincent and Harold ( Mikie) MiMi as she was affectionately called, accepted Christ at an early age at Cherry Bean Baptist Church. Mimi attended Sumner High school and excelled academically at Tarkio College where she received her Degree in Business and Communications. Later in life Mimi became an advocate for mental health and substance abuse reform. She even spoke at the State Capitol on these subjects to educate others. She was a peer mentor and friend to many. MiMi attended many group seminars and spoke to colleagues often about life and overcoming battles with self-love. Mimi spent most of her life serving God and chasing her kids and grandchildren. She had a kind heart, blissful spirit and willingness to help others through volunteering and serving her community. She received multiple certificates and awards for this her dedication to make change. Her huge personality attracted many people and they learned to love her for who she was. She will truly be missed by three special cousins: Karen, Alvern and Angie. She leaves to mourn her mother Janet, sister Yvette, her children Resha, Vickie, Vincent and Mikie. She also leaves grandchildren; Alyscia, Najeeb, Lil Vincent, Bria, Vinzell, Shantay, Saniyah. along with 2 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends including her Aunt Ruby.
