Obituary of Tona Lee Goins

Tona Lee Goins of Vienna, IL age 52 passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2020 at
11:15pm at Barnes Jewish Hospital where she was surrounded by her 3 children. She was born on
January 9th, 1968 in Metropolis, IL. She was a graduate of Meridian High School. Tona owned and
operated her own cleaning businesses for nearly 15 years.
Tona was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She had a very strong willed personality,
and had a passion for making arts, crafts, and spending lots of time outdoors.
Tona is survived by her 3 children. Terry Douglas, Jr (Teylor Douglas) of Goreville, IL, Tyler
Douglas (Erica Douglas) of Earle, AR and Jordyn Dover of Metropolis, IL. Four grandchildren Trinity
Douglas, Maci Kaye Douglas, Zoey Douglas, and Trevor Douglas. She is also survived by her mother
Diann Monan (Robin Monan) of Mounds, IL, and many other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held in Tona’s honor Saturday December 5 th at the First Baptist
Church in Mounds Ill from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. It is asked that in lieu of flowers that a contribution in
Tona’s memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Shriners Hospital for Children.
