I may not have personally known this man, but I’d like to thank him for his wonderful invention of heated seats. God bless his family , and may he rest in peace.

Here it is July 5,2021 and have just learned that sadly, my old friend Bob ballard had passed on back in November of covid 19. I knew Bob for over 30 years and worked with many social clubs and community projects together. In 2006 I accompanied Bob on a trip to Boston by car so he could visit with daughter Nancer and grandson Cody. My sincere sympathy to the family on the loss of a personable and wonderful man. I was lucky to have known him.

Bob was along time friend. I remember lots of times we worked on renovating the house and a few other adventures. Of Bob's children I only ever met Nancer when she was visiting in St, Louis. I would like to express mu deepest condolences. Perhaps we can find some consolation that Bob did live a pretty long life. Unfortunately due to simply having too much going on Bob and I had lost touch and I regret that we did not get together very often in the last few years. Bob was one of a kind.

My father, Robert Lewis Ballard, of St. Louis, Missouri died from covid-19 at Jefferson Barracks Veteran's Hospital in St. Louis Missouri after going there for an unrelated condition. He turned 96 on Election Day and led a very full and eventful life --including winning the National Soap Box Derby at 13 and serving in the Navy during WW II. For many years he worked as an engineer and engineering manager at a number of well-known firms including General Motors, Black & Decker, and Polaroid Corporation. He is survived by his daughters, Nancer Ballard, Susan Hirsch, Patti Winters, and Kat Touck’e, his grandchildren Andrew Michael Cody Ballantyne Ballard, Ryan and Sean Hirsch, and Morgan and Abbi Winters, and friends and colleagues in St. Louis, Missouri where he has lived for the past forty years.
