Obituary of Chonetta Rita Waller

Chonetta “Rita” Waller was born on January 13, 1953 in Seattle, Washington to Eugene and Deloris Stallsworth who preceded her in death. After the demise of her parents, she was raised by her uncle, Authur Winston and his wife, Marlue Winston who she called mom. She grew up, attended school, and worked as a dietician at Veteran’s Hospital in Seattle. In 1970, she married Benjamin Waller and had a son (who lived only a day) and a daughter. She later moved to Tacoma, Washington until 2004 when she relocated to the St. Louis Metro area. Mother Waller was born again in 1997. She loved the LORD and had a heart for people, especially the homeless. Those who met her often remarked how precious she was. She’d quickly testify of how she was a “Living Testimony”, because of all the obstacles and health challenges GOD brought her through. She was known as Little Mama; she opened her heart and home to many through the years. Her calling and passion was for the homeless. She desired to see them fed, cared for, and transformed through the Gospel. Mother Rita was a prayer warrior who continuously prayed for those often forgotten by others. Mother Waller was her daughter’s greatest cheerleader, always encouraging, and supporting her in ministry. She was loved and will be truly missed. She leaves to cherish her daughter, Pastor Jacqueline Waller; her big brother by marriage, Kevin Waller; Sisters, Elizabeth Winston, Anita Smith, and Emma Jean Foster, nieces, nephews, and adopted family. Special friends – Wanda Williams; Prayer Partner Vera Perkins, Evangelist Janice Hembry, The Baty Family, The Jackson Family, and countless others.
