Obituary of James Dalaquist Norful Sr.

James Dalaquist Norful Sr. passed away on December 28, 2020 at the age of 66. James was born in Arkansas the first child to Ervin Sr. and Rodessa Norful. After James graduated High School, he enlisted in the Air Force where he spent time in California before moving to England. There he met a young woman named Kathleen McAvoy. They fell in love, moved back to St. Louis, married, and had two kids, James Jr. and Natasha. They would spend the next 43 years driving each other crazy while loving each other as hard as anyone could love another person until Kathy was called home July 2018. After having enjoyed her two years of peace and quiet, God thought it was time to make heaven a little louder and call his son back home, which we are sure Kathy slipped out a curse word but brought joy to be reunited with the love of her life. James is preceded in death by his parents Ervin and Rodessa Norful, his mother father-in-law William and Emily McAvoy, a sister-in-law Carol, niece Leanne, and his beautiful loving wife Kathy. As someone once said we are only really gone when others stop talking or thinking about us. James was a man who always had a smile on his face, loved to laugh, tried not to take things too serious, and enjoyed life as much as he could during his time on Earth. If you were ever in the same room as him, you knew he was there! His daughter Natasha stated it best the day he passed, "the world got a lot quieter, Heaven got a lot louder.” James is survived by his Daughter Natasha (BJ); Son, James "JJ" (Ayline); two brothers, Win (Val), Steve (Susan); four sisters, Ov (Al), Pat (Oz), Connie, and Kim (Steve); grandchildren, Kayla, Amaury, Nataliya, Amir, Aiden, Nasir, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
