THE LIFE JOURNEY OF VICKIE COOPER- BROWNLEE

Vickie Cooper-Brownlee, 63, of St Louis, Missouri, United States, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 03, 2019. Vickie was born January 02, 1956. She was born to June Dickerson-Buchanan and was raised together with her step-father Jerry Buchanan. Mom accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and this is where she developed her love for people as well as the Arts. As a youth, she attended ballet and charm classes, took singing lessons and loved to dance. There wasn't a time that you wouldn't see her dancing and singing to the beat of her own tune, especially to Beyonce and Tupac. We often heard her hum this one tune that was never completed, at least to us. But she would say, all things are completed in Christ including this song and would chuckle.

Mom's love for people lead her to work with the elderly at St. Elizabeth Adult Daycare for years where she would teach arts and crafts that included singing and dancing. She had such an imagination and loved to create new games that would eventually lead to her sharing the Word of God. She never let an opportunity pass her by. Mom had the type of personality and spirit that was so infectious. Anyone that was blessed to be in her presence, never left feeling the same way. She left her impression on everyone that came around her, from her family to the doctors and aides who cared for her. Mom had two rules in life that she lived by (1) don't use profanity and secondly try to see the best in everybody because they are God's children too! No one was beyond God's reach to her and even though we didn't understand when it came to certain situations and people, we would always give in because it was HER! With her knowing this, mom used her powers well. Mom was completely and thoroughly spoiled by my brothers. All she had to do was speak a word and give that look only a mother could give. Mom said she had the gift of gab, but only used it when needed. This secret was kept until today! So, don’t tell nobody. Shhhh! We love you mom and will miss you!

Vickie (mom) was preceded in death by mother June Dickerson-Buchanan, Step-dad Jerry Buchanan, brothers Jerry Cooper, James (Jamie) Dickerson, Eddie Cooper, Jeremiah Buchanan and sister Virginia Cooper, Debra Johnson, Shirley Buchanan and Elnora Cooper. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her spouse Michael Brownlee, her children Ray Cooper (Nikita Jefferson), Stanley Cooper (Darlisha Cooper), Tasha Johnson (William Johnson) and Michael Cooper (Brittany Campbell).
