Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marilyn Virginia Kohl (nee McCormick) was born in St. Louis, Mo. on January 28,1941. She adored her Grandmother, Irene Bolfing, who was very involved in her upbringing. She grew up in the city and graduated high school at Roosevelt High. She shared many fond memories from her days there, often describing her time there as the best time of her life. She later married and had two children, Kimberely Anderson and Kevin Kohl. She lived for her children and did whatever she could to give them a good life. Having gotten a divorce, she found herself struggling to pay the bills. She decided to quit her job, mortgage her house, and start a business of her own with the help of her son, Kevin in 1993. After a few yeas of hard work and determination, her tenacity and unwillingness to recognize failure as an option, the business became quite successful. Kevin still runs that business today. She kept a close relationship with her children throughout her life.
On Monday November 11, 2019, she departed this life. She is survived by her daughter Kim and her husband Jerry and their three children Zachary, Jeremy, and Timothy, and her son Kevin and his wife Leslie.
