Life Reflections Frederick C Searcy, Sr. was born to the union of the late William Searcy Sr. and Ruby Searcy on April 11, 1934. To this union four children were born Marian Searcy, Akil Sadiki and Gwendolyn Wilson all preceded him in death. His Step Mother Dorothy Searcy also preceded him in death. Fred was educated in the St. Louis Public School System attending Vashon High School. Fred served with honorable distinction in the United States Air Force. Fred returned to St. Louis upon his discharge from the military service. Fred started his career with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department in 1955. He was a dedicated and faithful employee before retiring as a lieutenant after 30 years of service in 1986. Fred was also employed as an aide with the Honorable William (Bill) Clay Sr. for over 30 years. Throughout his employment Fred received numerous awards for his outstanding performance and extraordinary service. He was a proud faithful member of St. Elizabeth Mother of John the Baptist Catholic Church. He served as a member of the Men’s Club and the Church Van Driver. Fred loved his church with his outgoing personality and hearty laugh that won him many loyal friends. Fred made his last roll call on Wednesday, January 16th 2020 at Bentley Extended Care Facility. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife Joyce Searcy, four children Frederick C Searcy Jr. (Jackie), Stephanie Searcy, Anthony Searcy (Yvonne), Nicole Dotson (Carl) and a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. The Family is Requesting in lieu of flowers please donate to Explosion Sports West Foundation, Esawf.org. This will help young men and woman to prepare for college. A scholarship will be established in his name.
