Roger James Richardson died on January 10, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born June 21, 1967 in the U.S. Army Hospital, Fort Gordon, Georgia, to Brian Lee Richardson and Eva Kathleen Shoopman. He spent his childhood in Thermopolis, Wyoming and his teen years in Springville, Utah. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at age 18 and served for 26 years. During his career he was a crew chief on a C-5 Galaxy and those duties took him all over the world. He enjoyed his career immensely and retired as a senior master sergeant with many military decorations and citations. After retirement Roger lived in Belleville, Illinois and was employed by a civilian contractor working for the military. Roger was very talented in dealing with others and his ability to take command of any situation and lead others was supported by a very kind and empathetic heart. He loved his parents and his siblings and was very supportive of each of them. Roger loved football and was an avid bass fisherman and participated in many bass fishing tournaments. His greatest ambition was to become a professional bass fisherman. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joann. He is survived by both parents, three sisters, Vickie, Laura and Jennifer, three brothers, Randy, Aaron and Matthew, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was cremated in St. Louis, Missouri and his ashes will be interred at the Hillside Cemetery, Thermopolis, Wyoming on Saturday, June 20, 2020. .
