Obituary of Esther Mae White

Please share a memory of Esther to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Esther Mae White was born in Saint Louis Missouri, on January 11, 1958 to Mertha B. and Alvin White who preceded her to heaven. Esther was the fourth child of five children. Two of her brothers, Kenny and Alvin also preceded her to heaven. She loved her family and her family loved her right back. Like a lot of people here in St. Louis, she liked to brag about her alma-mater and was proud to be a graduate of Beaumont High School (Home of the Blue and Gold.) Her love for music was very eclectic. She loved everything from old school, R&B, Gospel, Blues and Jazz, but she also knew the words to many old and new rap songs (she thought she was really hip!) Like her Mother Mertha B. (Sis), she enjoyed a good book, but also kept busy with cooking and crocheting. Esther was a home body and was many times asked by friends and family to care for their children while they worked. Little did she know that these “favors” would turn into helping to raise some, and becoming a second mother to others, over the years. Lots of her “kids” (who are grown with kids of their own now) still tell stories of Esther’s loving, yet firm way of making sure they were all safe and well taken care of. You always knew your child was in good hands when they were with Esther. She ended up with six children and seventeen grandchildren of her own and she would be the first to tell you that they were all her greatest joys (especially those grandkids!) She leaves to love, cherish and honor her memory, her six children; Dominque (Antria), Tyrone (Brittany), Trina (Reginald), Shanell (Kenneth), Danielle (Eric) and Antonio; seventeen grandchildren; Dominque Jr, Keonte, Ameria, Ankya, Alexis, Tyrone Fernando Jr., Bryce, Quintin, Reginald Jr., Savannah, Ashanti, Kenneth Jr. (preceded her to heaven), Eric Jr., Derrick, Daniel, Erica, and Danni; one brother Darryl, one sister Pam (Vic); niece, Kim, nephews, Anthony (Roxy), Tray (Darine), Demetrius, Kenneth Jr, Kendrick, Marco (preceded her to heaven) her Aunt Beverly Reynolds and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews and many friends who loved her dearly. You are loved and we will miss you always! .
