Wanda Mae Sydnor, 75, of St Louis, MO, died on Monday October 5, 2020 at her residence.
Wanda was born on March 19, 1945 in Olney, IL, the daughter of Dale and Betty (McClure) Storer. She was married to the late Marshall S. Sydnor, of Dennison, IL.
Wanda worked for many years as a independent book keeper for various businesses. She retired to care for her husband after he became ill, until his passing. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also a very generous and caring woman, who enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, croqueting, needlework, collecting antiques, and spending time with her family. Wanda was a devoted Christian and attended Dunlap United Methodist Church in Dennison, IL. She had amazing strength, a zest for life, and was loved by many friends and family.
Wanda is survived by her son, Stephen L. Oakley of Coles County, IL; Grandson, Ryan Oakley of Olney, IL; Granddaughter, Robyn L Curtis (Mitch) of St Louis, MO; Great grandson, Xavier Brown of Olney, IL; Great granddaughter, Grace R Curtis, St Louis, MO; and sister, Karen McGlasson of Noble, IL. As well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, David L Oakley; brothers, Charles Storer and Jeff Storer.
A private memorial service with her family will be held at a later time.
