Obituary of Donald Eugene Ransom

Donald E. Ransom of St. Louis, Missouri passed away December 29,2020, after a brief illness. Don was born and raised in Farmington, Missouri. He graduated from University of Missouri Law School in 1972 and worked as General Counsel for Burlington Northern Railroad. Don is survived by the love of his life and wife, Zoe Ann Ransom; daughter, Kelly Ransom; stepson, Sam Eidson; stepdaughter, Julie Smith; as well as many grandchildren, nephews, nieces, sisters/brothers-in-law; and two mothers-in-law, Laverne Huning, and Levergne Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mayford and Geneva Ransom; his brother, Dave Ransom; his first wife, Barbara Rudy Ransom. Don loved life. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycling, cooking, traveling, fine dining and entertaining especially with friends and family. His sentimental heart, great sense of humor, and deep laugh will be missed immensely. Memorial gathering to be determined later this year (2021).
