Eyvette Francine Mitchell “Redd” was born on September 27th, 1964 to the union of Jewel and Joyce Davis, she was the baby girl of three siblings. Her father preceded her in death. Redd was educated through the St. Louis Public school system. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Arthur Dotson. Redd was married twice, her last and final husband was with Eddie Mitchell whom she loved dearly, he preceded her in death. Redd gave birth to (4) four beautiful children. To know and understand Redd you had to respect who she was. Redd was one of a kind, the life of the party. Our family has a lot of good memories with her, there was always “Laughter & Joking”. Redd had her own nickname “Pretty Girl” and that she was. Redd loved her mother they considered each other Best Friends; Redd would share most of everything with her. Redd was diagnosed with digestive organ cancer in its 4th stage. During Redds last months on this earth she was in a lot of pain from the cancer. While lying in the hospital bed, Redd told her mother that she was “tired”, Redd was a strong-willed woman, she tried to hold on, she got the opportunity to see her children, grandchildren, siblings, niece and nephews and a few close friends before she took her last breath. Redd fought a good fight, finished the race, now she Rests in the Bosom of Jesus. She will be missed. Redd leaves to cherish her memory; her mother Joyce Davis; her two sisters Rochelle Johns (Mesa, AZ.) and Melodie Wilkes; baby brother Terence Davis (Marla); her children LaToya Gray, LaTonya Gray, Diamond Miller, and Amin Mitchell (Erica); her “Bonus Children” Twanice Mitchell-Collins (Ricky), Quyana Mitchell, Ebony Jones (Jamie), Ghadah Mitchell, Zion Mitchell-Battle (Andre), Aqeel Mitchell (Shonda), Simeon Mitchell, Vickie Mitchell-Calmese (Albert), and Vincent Chism; 6 grandchildren, 28 “Bonus Grandchildren” and 6 “Bonus Great Grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, famil,y and friends.
