Carlita Evette Williams-Roddy was born March 4, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Eugene Sr. and Fannie Williams. She was the 8th child out of 9 in this union. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Eugene Sr. and Fannie Williams; two sisters, Clara Ann Williams, Jessie Ann Booker, and one daughter, Temico Evette Buckner. Carlita attended Halter High School in Wellston, Mo, she graduated in 1979. She continued her education by going into the medical field. She loved working in the medical field and sharing all her skills with loving care for 35 years. She would often talk about the heart filling work she did for others. She was so glad she chose that profession for herself. Carlita accepted God at an early age. She continued to keep God alive in her life. Her passions were God, life, marriage, family, shopping, decorating, laughter, and helping others. Carlita joined in Holy Matrimony with the love of her life, Mr. Lonnie Roddy in 1995. On May 4, 2021, the sweet peace of God fell upon her and God in is infinite wisdom took her home to rest forever with Him. She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Lonnie Roddy; two daughters, Sophia Williams and Tashay Williams; three sons, Paris “Chris” Williams, Lonnie Lienthal Roddy, Otto Roddy; ten grandchildren, Kanika Nelson, Tey Andre’ Hoskins, Damarius Edwards, Corey Walton, DaMonte’ Lewis, Aymunique, Ka’liyah, Amani, and Andrea; six great grandchildren, Andre’ Cole Jr., Autumn E. Cole, Aiden Edwards, Londyn Walton, Damarius Edwards Jr., and Delanni Edwards; four sisters, Novella Smart, Dianne Williams, Carol Williams, and Joan Lampkin; two brothers, Eugene Williams Jr. (Marlyn) and Vanell “Skip” Williams; Brenda Britton (our sister always in our heart), five brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and best friends.
