Brother David had the highest IQ of us three brothers. Common sense might be another issue. Still he was well read and knowledgable on many subjects. He co-authored a book on 1920-40s Actress Anna Mae Wong under the nom de plume, Chei Mi Lane. Was a past camp commander of the U S Grant Camp 68, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. He was also a Kentucky Colonel, an honorary aide to the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He attended Salem Lutheran School in Affton, Mo, and graduated eighth grade in the Lindbergh School Dist and in 1975 graduated Lindbergh HS. Around 1976 he worked on John Ashcroft's first campaign for a state representative's seat. Apparently he made enough of an impression that years later when I mentioned him to Governor Ashcroft, he spoke fondly of him. He attended technical post graduate school and became a hospital lab technician in Doniphan and Troy, Mo. Later he worked in delivery helping his step-father in the meat wholesale business. He also worked at St Louis Lithographing before becoming physically disabled. The son of Walter H Busch and Marlene F Hahnfeld, both of Affton, Mo, he is survived by his wife of 37 years Xuan Dang Thi, his mother, brothers Walt (Sandy Walther) and Dan; one nephew and three nieces as well as 5 step-brothers. A lover of art, music, trivia, food and gregarious in life. He is missed.

My dear friend, David. We shared thousands of hours together when our parents' homes were built two doors apart on Wembley Woods. You made growing up a lifetime of good memories. To you, "Wally" and Dan, you have my deepest heartfelt condolences. May all the families remember David as I do, with joy and love. Thousands of miles away in a foreign country never dimmed the memories of the good times shooting pool, playing cards, building a treehouse, hearing your George Carlin records blaring away, Walt and more.
I was lucky to have been a part of it all.
May God bless you all,
Bill Wind
