Michael A. Gavin
Michael Anthony Gavin, 33, most recently of St. Louis, MO, passed away on Saturday August 28, 2021, surrounded by his dad, step-mother and a dear friend.
Michael grew up in Missouri and Florida. He celebrated his 4th birthday on his grandparents, Bob and Elizabeth Diamond’s sailboat and the three of them set sail the very next day for an extended trip on the Gulf of Mexico. He attended school and graduated from the Northwest RI District of Jefferson County Missouri. In middle school he took up the bass guitar, playing in a few bands. He also enjoyed jamming with anyone who would pick up an instrument and play with him. His profession was the front of the house in the restaurant industry. But, he was equally at home in the kitchen or behind the bar.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother Deborah Judy and her parents, Judy and Ron Tompkins. He is survived by his father James Anthony Gavin, his wife Roni Gavin, four step siblings, his sister Candace Judy, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
