Obituary of Anthony Blocker

Anthony Leon Blocker “Uncle Boontoon” was born on July 5, 1978, in Saint Louis, Missouri to the union of Leo Blocker (preceded him in death) and Emma Blocker. A special nephew, Christopher Hicks, also preceded him in death. He was the youngest sibling of Dex McGrew and Shantae McGrew- Cole. Anthony accepted Christ at an early age and declared Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He received his formal education from the Saint Louis Public School System which includes De Porres School, Hoech Middle School, and McCluer High School. He worked at St. Louis Parking Company until his health began to decline. Antony’s favorite pass time was playing basketball. He was a caring and lovable person. He loved hanging out with his friends in the neighborhood and spending quality time with his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by us all! He leaves his love ones to cherish his memories his mother, Emma Blocker; brothers, Dex and Lionel; sisters, Shantae and Margo; nieces, Ebony, Shamika, Ashley, Ajeh, Damesha, Lonesha, T’Khia, T’nyah; nephews, Lil’ West and Mark; Aunts, Karen, Elaine, Linda, Annie, and Marshall; great aunts, Louise Blocker and Bobbie Binion; uncles, Joe, George, and Eugene; two special friends, Marvin Boyd, Pete Jacobs, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
