Obituary of Destiny Smith

Destiny Lachelle Smith was born on a sunny day in January on the 25th in the year of 1999, she was very charismatic as a baby. She attended New Northside MB Center at the age of two.
Destiny graduated from kindergarten at the age of five. Afterwards, she attended Latimore Elementary School. While attending Latimore, Destiny started to play the violin, which she continued as she elevated to Middle school at Hazelwood Southeast Middle School, where she became a cheerleader and played volleyball. Upon entering high school at Hazelwood East High School, Destiny was a member Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), which prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Destiny attended the bridge program at the University of Missouri-St. Louis College where she received her associates degree.
As a nine-year violinist, Destiny continued to be second chair in symphony orchestra to becoming the first chair in orchestra. Destiny became a lifeguard which she enjoyed doing for five years. Destiny was a more than exceptional student in High School. Destiny graduated High School with a 3.8 GPA. In addition to that, she scored a 28 on the ACT exam.
After applying for multiple colleges, she was accepted at Dillard University, Grambling State University, Clark Atlanta University, and Xavier University. She chose to attend Xavier University of Louisiana to take up Biology Pre-med to further her career to becoming an anesthesiologist. Shortly after that time, Destiny took a break from school to build her entrepreneur skills. She became a certified lash technician, nail technician, and was well on her way to becoming an esthetician. Destiny became a dancer, a mentor for young struggling women at Dog Pound, and had weekly pole dance classes.
Destiny will be truly, undoubtedly, unconditional heart felt certainly missed in our loving hearts. We will continue to keep her memory alive. Ashé!
