Vicki Renee Merkel (Kappler) (nee. Moncrief)-64 yrs of Fenton, Jefferson County, Missouri joined the ranks of guardian angels on 20 Oct 2021 at Evelyn's Hospice House of Creve Coeur, MO following a long battle with esophageal cancer first diagnosed Dec 2017.
Survived by beloved children Christian Eugene Merkel (b.1981 of Hannibal) & Jessica Lynn Merkel (b.1983 of Fenton). Granddaughters-Brittany Lynn Young (b. 1998 of Cedar Hill) & Jalyn Renee Huber (b. 2011 of Fenton). Extended friends-Josh Huber, Melissa Gurney, Wade Rivali, Ryan Richardson, Wendy Richardson, Debbie Palmier, Lynn Barlar, Bernard McManus, neighbor's, gaming guilds. Vicki was born STL Missouri to Earl Wilson Moncrief Jr (1918 Memphis TN-1994 STL MO) & Annabelle Rose "Violet" Stange (1923 STL MO-1968 Fenton MO), sister to John Earl Moncrief (1949-1998 STL MO) all of whom preceded in death.
Preceded in death-beloved Donald Eugene Merkel (1955 Cook IL-1989 Columbia IL); Paternal Grandparents-Earl W. Moncrief (1895 Fulton GA-1968 Memphis TN); Ruth Ann Haynes (1900 TN-1972 STL MO); Maternal Aunt-Ida Rose Hunt (nee. Wallace (Stange) (1904-1986 of Little Rock AR m. 1928 IL Earl G Hunt (1906-1967)); Cousin Shirley Rose Hunt (Redd, Hamilton) (1930 STL MO-2014 LR AR)

US Army Military Veteran, member of Ladies Auxiliary fraternal Order of Eagles-Arnold, Synchronized Swimmer, Avid Music aficionado building friendships across the continent from B.
