She was preceded in death by her parents Katherlean and Willie; son, Richard Glenn Carlisle; sisters, Katherine Gladny and Nan Ella Carlisle; two brothers, Julius Wise Carlisle and Ben Chester Carlisle; two grandchildren, Frederick Glenn Perkins and Runita Staria Hardy Marie conceived three children, Anita Carlisle (Hardy), Richard Carlisle (deceased- 1976), and Jean Marie Carlisle (Johnson). Marie was a loving and sweet lady. She always took care of everyone that was in need. Marie moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1960, she worked hard, went to school, and ultimately became the business owner of her own daycare. Marie Carlisle found Christ in 1979, she always taught people to love God first and to make sure they have a personal relationship with Christ. She attended Northside S.D.A. Church. She passionately worked within the church, from being the treasure of the church, ushering, sang in the choir, and the head deaconess. She worshipped with her family at their home church, The House of Scriptures. She kept a life of prayer onto the day she took her last breath. Marie Carlisle, through a life of struggle and heartache always persevered and always kept a smile. She was a holy woman. She was there for anyone who called whether it was sewing. cooking, being a friend, or giving someone a place to stay, Marie Carlisle was a blessing. She raised her children with grace and taught them that love is everything. Even through the loss of her son she taught her daughters to stick together and “THAT FAMILY IS EVERYTHING”. She was always there for her grandchildren and showed a deeper love for her great and great great-grandchildren to come. Sadly, on Thursday January 13, 2022, Marie had to leave this earth. She fought a good fight, finished her course, and before her last breath she asked us to stay together, trust God, and don’t worry. Marie was sure and confident she was going home to be with her Heavenly Father. Our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend will be truly missed and forever loved and mourned. She leaved to cherish two beautiful daughters, Anita Hardy and Jean Johnson(Joe); sisters, Janie and Sadie; brothers, Willie and Sam; six grandchildren, Runanda Newland (Keith Sr.), Russell Hardy Jr.(Lisa), Richard Hardy, Robert Hardy 4th, Joseph Johnson Jr., and Rejeana Marie Johnson, a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
