Rose Marie Sims was born to the union of Jake Torrence and Rebecca Torrence-Cavin. She was preceded in death two brothers, Bobby Torrence, Ronnie Washington, and one sister Sandy Stokes. She gave birth to two beautiful children Brittany Sims and Eric Little. Rose was educated in St. Louis Public Schools and graduated from Northwest High School. Throughout her life she worked for USDA as a Customer Service Representative for 16 years. Rose was a person of strong faith who never let life’s challenges alter her loving, fun, and outgoing spirit. She was our angel on earth who touched so many lives just by her joyous presence. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Rose exuded what it meant to be humble, loving, and full of excitement. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends. Rose had a kindness that was contagious. Even when you may have made your worse mistakes, she would let you know that it’s still okay, but would let you know how she truly felt. She provided a listening ear with no judgement, with a smile that was always consistent, as well as uplifting. Even in her last days, she remained devoted to who she truly was. She will always be remembered and missed for her strength, her outgoing personality, her smile, and compassion. Rose leaves to cherish her memories , her fiancé Robert Morris; one daughter Brittany Sims, (Tyrone White) and Eric Little,(Danielle Little) parents: father, Jake Torrence, mother, Rebecca Torrence-Cavin, brothers Jake Torrence Jr., Jason Torrance (Brittany Torrence), Randy Stokes, Robert Stokes, Rome Clower; sisters, Latosha Johnson (Michael Saquon Johnson), Tanika Walker (Melvin Bernard Walker), Regina Beamon, Renee Beamon, seven grandchildren, Eric Little Jr., Derrick Little, Daniel Little, Erica Little, Danni Little, Taia Wade, Bryce Evans, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
