Obituary of Learon Bartlett

Learon Ruvon Bartlett was the second child born to Leanthony (Tony) and Serita Bartlett in St. Louis, MO, on November 28, 1988. Learon, otherwise known as Chewy, was educated in the St. Louis Public School system, attending Ashland Elementary and Beaumont High School. He left St. Louis to continue his education in Columbia, MO. Chewy furthered his education by graduating from a music academy in Nashville, TN. aspiring to become a Rapper. His employment in St. Louis included working at Rexite Casting Company and working as a chef at a local restaurant. As a baby, Learon received the nickname “Chewy” from his dad and cousin, Greg Hilliard because he was always chewing on something; even as an adult he kept the reputation of loving to eat. As a child he loved to go and eat with his grandmother Minister Shirley Bartlett, his brother, Leanthony. Jr., and his cousins Teria Hernton, Eric, and Deric Bartlett. At a young age, Learon professed his faith in Christ and attended Shalom Church City of Peace, where he was baptized. Learon is known for his beautiful smile, infectious laugh, always very personable, and respectful to others. He would do anything to help anyone that asked and was glad to do so. Learon received his wings on February 26, 2022, to be with his mother, Serita; grandparents Robert Bartlett, April Joyce, and Socko all preceded him in death. Learon leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Erin; father, Tony (Pearl); siblings, Kenyette Jordan, Camille Reynolds, Leanthony Bartlett, Jr., Jordan Stokes, Tiara Hamilton and Charnay Bartlett; grandmother, Min. Shirley Bartlett; Aunts, Belinda Bartlett (Reggie), Robin Loving (Troy), Crissa Key; Uncles, Terry Bartlett (Sophie), Eric Bartlett, Sr. (Kathy), Mark Key, Corey Key and a host of cousins and friends.
