Obituary of Daryl Blount

Please share a memory of Daryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Daryl O’Neil Blount was born October 26th, 1957 in St. Louis, MO to the union of Carol Blount (nee Hagens) and Edward O’Neil Blount Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age and found joy in serving our almighty Lord. Actively involved in the church, he was an altar boy at St. Teresa and Bridget Catholic Church. Actively involved in school activities at DeAndreis High School and Central High School, he expressed his school spirit on the field with football, on the court with basketball, in the pool through swim team and through music as a drummer. A Jack-of-all-Trades, he later in life expanded his creativity and mastered culinary arts and cooked for FareStart in Seattle, WA. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, fishing, chess, literature, and singing ( literally being a “Messenger of Love,” a band formed with his Beloved brothers). But perhaps of all the passions pursued… Daryl loved PEOPLE! He was a family man and often the life of the party. Fondly referred to as “Spiderman”, many respected, admired and cherished his friendly aura. Sadly, the world couldn’t hold this treasure forever. On the evening of Saturday, March 12th, he was called home and joined those preceding him in death: his father Edward, mother Carol, brother Rickey Johnson, sister Karen Blount, brother Edward Blount Jr. , brother Earl Miller and brother Joseph Blount. He leaves behind his wife DeAndrea Blount (nee Walker); 6 Children: Daryl Marsaw, Khimmel Blount and Duane Marsaw (Kim Marsaw); Keyaira Hamilton (Phillis Hamilton); Al Blount and Camillya Blount (Alma Blount nee Harris); Step-children Miquell Poole, Michelle Walker Matell Walker; Siblings Earl Johnson, William Johnson, Louis Blount, Barbara Hill, Janice First, Diana Denzmore, Joyce Joyce, and Alana Lee and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
