December 5, 1981 – June 7, 2022
Ryan Charles Ackerman was born in Creve Coeur, MO to Linda Kay (Swarthout) Hicks and Douglas Martin Ackerman.
Ryan served our Country in the Air Force and then worked for ITT (US Air Force Division) in Germany training French Pilots during the Iraq War. Following his service, Ryan entered Wildwood Community College through the Montgomery GI Bill. His studies guided him to his love of art, graphic animation, and an awarded scholarship to the Kansas City Art Institute.
His parents, stepparents Peter Hicks and Katie Ackerman, siblings Madeleine Hicks, Sally and Billy Ackerman, and extended families feel deep sorrow by his passing. He was a man with a precious soul that touched and navigated all our lives in ways that only our own hearts will know.
