Marvin Riley Johnson, son of Robert E and Hattie Ruth Johnson, was born on December 8, 1969, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the tenth of ten children. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Susan Payne, Bessie Johnson, Eunice Johnson; three brothers, Donald, Robert, Johnny Johnson, and one brother-in-law, Bruce Edwards. Marvin attended St. Louis Public Schools and graduated from Normandy School District in 1988. Marvin professed a belief in Christ at a young age, under the leadership of Reverend David Dedmond. Marvin loved the Lord with all his heart. Marvin loved people, he never me met a stranger. He would give you his last no matter what it was money or food. Marvin loved to dance, and the music excited his spirit. Marvin was one of the favorite uncles to all his nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. They ALL LOOOVED some “Uncle Marvin”. It is often said, “Be careful how you treat people. Because you maybe entertaining an angel in disguise.” Marvin R. Johnson was truly an angel. On July 13, 2022, at the age of 52 wonderful years, Marvin was called to rest to Eternal Glory. Marvin will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Marvin Riley Johnson leaves to cherish his memory, brother, Joseph Johnson (Jean Johnson); two sisters, Jacqueline Edwards, Mary Sykes (Glen); sister-in-law, Monica Johnson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
