Obituary of Patrick B. Massey

Patrick Bryan Massey 50 yrs. September 18, 1972, to March 09, 2023 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Bryan Massey on March 09,2023 at St. Elizabeth hospital. Patrick was born on September 18, 1972, to Paul Massey and Deborah Coleman in Jesup, Ga. He grew up in Ludowici, Ga and attended Faith Baptist Christian Academy. Patrick was preceded in death by his mom, Deborah Coleman and will be deeply missed by his wife, Angel Massey, his 3 children, Christina Massey, Patrick Bryan Massey Jr. (Lyndsi), and Timothy Massey, his grandchildren, Maddox Maestas and Jude Massey, his father, Paul Massey (Karen), his siblings, Paul Massey Jr. (Leah), Grayson Massey (Kristi), Christina Bacon (Brett), Lisa Davis (Chase), Matthew Massey (Amber), Mark Massey, Thomas Massey, Amanda Massey, his Aunt Nancee Bottoms (Ricky) and lots of Nephews, nieces, cousins, lots of friends, a bonus son Robert Renner, and 5 bonus granddaughters. Patrick’s favorite things to do were to go fishing and playing with his grandson/best buddy Maddox. He loved spending time with his family, and he enjoyed doing woodwork. He was a jokester, loved to make you laugh. A Memorial will be held on March 20, 2023. Visitation will be at 2pm and the memorial will be at 4pm at Faith Baptist Church, 405 E. Main Street, Belleville, IL 62220. In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society for pancreatic cancer research. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Sandeep Sen at SSM St. Mary’s in St. Louis and all those who provided care and support since Patrick’s diagnosis. A special thanks to his church family, Faith Baptist church who stood by him and his family, prayed for them, supported them, loved them and fed them from the beginning of his journey to the end. He cherished you all. Rest in Peace, Patrick. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.
