Obituary of Bernice Harrison

Bernice Toler-Harrison was born from the love between Willie Mae and Griffin Toler on January 11, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the middle child of her siblings. She had her sisters named, Johnnie, Madeline, Catherine, and her brothers name was Alphonso. They were raised properly by there Aunt Rosie Griffin upon the death of their parents of Madeline’s very young age. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mae and Griffin Toler; sister, Madeline Toler, and husband Billy Harrison. She attended St. Louis Public Elementary School. She graduated from Sumner High School in 1971. She worked as a caregiver and a homemaker. She was excellent at what she did. She cleaned and took care of her client’s children and taught them the basic needs of life. In addition, she also took her grandchildren to work with her and taught them the same stability. Bernice loved to travel, play bingo, dancing, listening to music, playing cards, and cooking for her family. Her banana pudding stayed on point! She was baptized at a young age at Zion Wheel Baptist Church. She had faith in God unto the end of her life. Bernice met her soul mate Mr. Billy Carl Harrison. From that union, Bernice and Billy had Darlene, Terrance, Sylvester, Shaunte’, Renee, Sabrina, Carla, and Tara. On the morning of Sunday April 2, 2023, Bernice heard her Heavenly Father’s voice to take her away from the pain and suffering. She reunited with her parents, sister, brother, and husband in HEAVEN to rest. Bernice leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Darlene, Terrance, Sylvester, Shaunte’, Renee, Sabrina, Carla, Tara, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
