Mary went to sleep on July 19 2018 and is now waiting for the resurrection and second coming of Jesus Christ. She is survived by her five children Petronella , Jacob , Landy , Nathan and Robson Mhishi grandchilden Tsepiso ,Tendai, Palesa, Stephani , Landy , Delan, Emilia, Maxwell, Billy , Joseph and her husband Elliot Mhishi.Mary Chipo Mhishi age 68, was born on January 2, 1950 in Harare, Zimbabwe to the parents Sabinah and Noah Zaza. She was the fourth of four children, her siblings Prisca Zaza the late Bernard & Oliver Zaza.
She was educated at Bonda Mission School in Nyanga , Zimbabwe and graduated as a registered nurse and midwife from Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo . She worked for Harare City council for over 30 years. Started as a Nurse and progressed from that to be Sister in Charge and Matron. Her last role was the owner and CEO of Star Rise Clinic which served the local community in Harare.
She was a committed Seventh Day Adventist and proved to be a strong leader in the church and community. She led the women’s ministries and also young children and youth ministries. She gave all her heart and life to service for God. She was a member and a leader at Waterfalls SDA Church in Harare, Zimbabwe and in her final years attended the West County SDA Church in St Louis, MO, USA.
Mary was a prayerful, ambitious and hardworking woman. An avid reader, health educator and most of all loved everyone. She had a zest for life and her love was infectious. She witnessed to neighbors, children and friends about the love of Christ at any opportunity.
