I was in Yuma AZ with Vern during the real estate boom from 2004-08 re-habbing properties. Vern, myself and Dale Bowen were friends from Ventura CA. We would work on our properties all day then meet up in the cool Colorado river in the park under the bridge in Yuma to relax, talk and throw balls for Max, my goldenLab.
Vern and Dale sold out and went on to St. Louis, I went to visit, then chose to stay in AZ ( and the 2008 crash).
I lost contact with Dale, but kept in touch with Vern over the years.
Vern was looking forward to finishing work on his properties in St. Louis, selling, and getting back to San Diego to live on a boat in the harbor. He was planning on staying with me in AZ for a while when he sold and came back West.
I'm sorry Vern will never get to realise his dream that he had been working towards and looking forward to. Vern insisted on doing most of the property renovation work himself, so it was taking much more time to complete.
Vern had a little dog that he loved, I know he would want that dog to be well taken care of.
I'm sorry Vern is gone. He also had property in storeage near San Diego that needs to be claimed.
