Obituary of Beryl Shapiro

Beryl Margaret Shapiro (nee Howard), 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2019 surrounded by family.  Beryl was preceded in death by her father, Forrest Howard, mother, Margaret Howard and sister Beverly Crudder. Beryl is survived by her husband of 67 years, Marvin, whom she adored, her children, Marvin L. Shapiro, MD (Martha), Jayme Norman (Walter), Lauren Hennessey and Howard Shapiro, DDS.  She is also survived by her grandchildren (who could do no wrong in her eyes), Leigh Shapiro, Drew Shapiro, Alex Norman, Jessica Norman, Travis Hennessey, Hailey Hennessey, Sarah Shapiro and Maya Shapiro. Beryl loved to bowl, play bridge (a Lifemaster), and of course, check raising at the Ameristar poker tables.  These endeavors made Beryl lifelong friends, too many to list.

The family would like to thank the numerous staff members at St. Lukes Hospital, Delmar Gardens West, Garden Villas and the Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis who were very kind and helped Beryl in the last several months.
