Obituary of William Thomas Scharbert

William “Bill” Scharbert, age 84, of Arnold, Missouri passed away on December 17, 2019 at the DeGreef Hospice House in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on April 29, 1935 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the late William and Margaret (Mullally) Scharbert. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Scharbert, and his brother, Bob Scharbert.
Bill is survived by 6 children; Carol (Jim) Keeven, Diane Pikul, William Scharbert, James Scharbert, Tammy (Jerry) Simpson, and Thomas Scharbert, as well as 11 grandchildren, and sister-in-law Sherry Scharbert.
Bill received his Associate’s degree from Belleville Community College and attended Washington University. After college, Bill became a professional wrestler under the stage name of Billy King. He retired from Anheuser Busch after 35 years of employment.
No funeral services will be held, as it was Bill’s wish that his estate be used for his family rather than himself. Bill’s Facebook page will remain open and all are welcome to post memories and final words there.
