I remember biking to downtown with my brother from our home in the suburbs. It was a beautiful summer day and since Brian (his first name was William, but everyone called him Brian as William was our father's name) went to a school downtown he was not afraid to do that on our bikes. We went to some fun stores and bought toys and candies we could fit in our pants. Eventually, we went to a drugstore that sold Ice cream sodas and ordered two and then a nice man saw us and offered each of us a quarter to offer at the Catholic Church next door. We then got on our bikes and went home. We later went to the same high school and then went to different colleges and did not see each other as often. I will always remember that sunny day when we shared an adventure together downtown. Those are the memories that mean something when we were young and free and only had each other to look out for and enjoy the day with.
