Peggy Maxine Evins- Morgan passed away May 22,2020 at Mercy St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born August 5, 1933 in Howell County, Missouri to Arlie Evins and Dollie Clark Evins.
She is survived by brother Arlen Evins; Children, Peggy Marie Barton Stanley of Winona, Missouri, James "Jay" Carl Barton of Salem, Missouri, Kenneth Nix of St. Louis, Missouri, and Thomas Nix of St. Louis, Missouri; as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Arlie and Dollie (Clark) Evins and an infant daughter, Carolyn Elaine Barton.
Peggy and Ed owned and operated Monte Bello Pizzeria in St. Louis since the 1960s. Peggy worked as a waitress for over 50 years and Monte Bellos had quite the reputation for serving homemade cuisine for patrons.
Peggys passion in life was her animals and for years she traveled and had show cats that won many ribbons.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Monte Bellos at a future date.
