Obituary of Arthur Lee Johnson

Always, In Loving Memory Arthur Lee Johnson Jr. age 66, was taken into the Lord’s hands on the 16th of June, 2020 in the city of St Charles, MO. Known as June or Art among family and friends, Arthur was born in Chicago to Jessie Bee and Arthur Lee Sr. on July 27th, 1953. Arthur was educated at ITT Bailey Technical School and completed his program in the late 1970’s. He continued his education at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park. He married the mother of his children, Laura Westlake, September of 1986 in St. Louis, MO. He was proud of his career as the Building Supervisor at American Optometric Association until his retirement in 2016. Arthur was a lover of country music, cars, humor, and family. Arthur is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Sr.; his mother, Jessie Bee; his sister, Catherine; and other extended family. He is survived by his daughter Nicole Nora and her children Nora, Isaiah and Jeric; his daughter Maria Eve and her sons Judah and Elijah; his son Marqus Earl married to Amber Diane with their daughters Eva and Aria; his daughter Leisa Lyn; his sisters Peggie and Shari; his brothers Percy and Jerome; and many more uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Due to Covid-19 restrictions our family is hosting a small celebration by invite only. In honor of his life well lived, we will celebrate over Father’s Day weekend 2020. In lieu of flowers any tokens of condolence, such as sympathy cards or memorial expense donations, may be addressed to Marqus Johnson. Funds received will be allocated towards memorial and interment expenses.
