Obituary of Willie James Jackson III
Please share a memory of Willie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Willie J. Jackson III, passed away Saturday June 13, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri. Born June 6, 1984 in St. Louis, Missouri; he was the son of Cassandra M. Grant and Willie J. Jackson Jr. However, Cassandra M. Shaw wed Ricky Grant Sr. in 1991 and that fatherly bond ensues; helping to raise him with patience, guidance, discipline, and humility.
Willie was immersed in the Christian community from an early age; Faith United Assembly of the Living God is where he called home, and it would always be his lifelong support. Willie attended the Ferguson-Florissant school system, graduating from Hazelwood Central H.S. in 2002. Upon graduating high school, Willie attended Vatterott College, where he became a certified HVAC Technician. Willie worked alongside his Father, Ricky Grant Sr. in the family business. His Father often joked that he was a hard worker when he wasn't taking a ton of breaks to make his presence known on Facebook.
Willie was blessed with a large loving family, and the extended family that loved him was numerous. His friends knew him as "Lump", and to this family he was "Luh Woohlie." To know him, is to know that he was all for the "joaning" games; don't play because you will lose; Willie was always going to have the last word, and the last laugh. His favorite catch phrase was "You ugly." Willie had a big heart that not everyone readily saw. He would literally give you the shirt off his back, if he had one that is. He loved life, and he lived it to the fullest everyday. So much so that even sleeping wasn't a necessity for him to him; like life would pass him bi somehow if he did. He loved his family; there's not one he couldn't call on, the ties were that strong. But most of all, he loved his four heartbeats - his princess and his three kings. Heavyn, Stephaun, Peter and Jordan were his greatest accomplishments; there names were tattooed across his chest. And even though he wasn't always present, the adoration in his eyes spoke louder than anything he could ever do or say. Everyone who crossed Willie's path will tell you, "Man that was a good dude." He will forever be missed.
Williw is survived bu his mother Cassandra Grant, father Ricky Grant Sr., dad Willie J. Jackson Jr.; his four children- daughter Heavyn Jackson (Candice), son Stephaun Jackson (Stephanie), son Peter James Jackson (Brittani), and son Jordan Key; his six siblings - sisters Tyesha Jackson, Risand Grants (Glen), Tiffanee Grant and Asia Jackson; brothers Jordan Grant and Rickey Grants Jr.; His Loving Grandmother Ellen B. Shaw, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many, many family friends.
