Very sorry to hear about Jeff's passing. I got a chance to know him while working together at Cabela's. I enjoyed his whit and competitive personality. My best wishes to all his family.

Jeff was my manager at Cabela's from the day he walked in until the day I left.
What struck me about Jeff was his quick smile & laugh & he was always upbeat. He was a friendly guy & while we had little time for chit-chat, we did share a few laughs.
Folks at Cabela's are like family, so it was frustrating when Jeff was out & we were unable to get pertinent information about him. So, we hoped for the best & waited. Hearing of his passing put a damper on everyone's spirit. Regretfully, I heard about his memorial service too late to attend.
We should rejoice that he ran his race & completed his task as it was given to him before he arrived on Earth. He is where he was meant to be.
So now, I have this vision of Jeff sitting on some cloud bank with other friends and holding a fully automatic harp that requires but the push of a button to play. It even has a silencer - just in case the Heavenly music gets too annoying.
So, Jeff, I will miss you and God willing, we will meet, again.

We are so sorry to just be hearing of the memorial service. Jeff and I were managers together at the large retail chain for many years. I miss him wholeheartedly as I had the honor to call him friend.

Jeff was a good guy. He was my boss for the last few years and our stupid pranks were always the best. I am sure others agree, especially all the times he had to wear crazy outfits at work. I remember one time, he had me do something for points/votes and get another manager to wear an opposing team's jersey to a St. Louis home game. It instead backfired and I put all the points on him and acted all confused like he messed up and told me the rules wrong. Man, the look on his face. I acted like I was Tommy Boy and delivered the classic "Whaddya do?" phrase. Also, many people may not know this, but I have a picture of his office...where I hung two very large TWILIGHT posters up. It was just a joke and many people got a good laugh out of it for a few weeks. He had no idea where they came from. For some odd reason, though, he kept them up...for damn near a year and a half. There are other times like this, but it would be great if everyone could share their moments and memories.

Jeff was a fraternity brother and I remember him welcoming me with open arms. His personality was infectious to everyone he ever met. My condolences go out to his family and friends. He will be missed for sure.

I can't imagine life in Fresno without Jeff Burkes.
We met in the dorms, rushed Lambda Chi Alpha together, and spent the next four or five years having great laughs and a great connection.
Jeff made my life BETTER and I'm thankful for having known him.
I know Jeff is in heaven and I look forward to that reunion.
