Please share a memory of Eric to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eric Stephen Ewanio, was born May 23, 1975, to loving parents, Stephen and Donna, in Chicago, IL. He was taken home, on January 10, 2021, after losing his battle, with pancreatic cancer, in St. Louis, MO. He is preceded in death, by his grandparents, Hill, Irene and Stephen; his father, Steve and his uncles, Eugene and Rick. Eric was known for his quirky and loving personality and for his intense love of music, animals, family and life. Living in St. Louis made it hard, but his love for his home-town of Chicago and the Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks, never waivered. He enjoyed shows regarding nature and history, reading books on many different subjects, and listening to various types of music, especially live or on vinyl. Some of his favorite activities included, traveling with his fiancé, Amy, going to fairs and concerts, being in nature, camping, fishing, bonfires, playing disc golf, firing up the grill and relaxing with friends and family. He was proud to be a Union Auto Worker and loved his job and the family that he created at the Woodbridge Group. He will always be known, as a devoted and loving "Paw-Paw" to his and Amy's grandchildren, Chance and Jacob. Eric leaves behind his sons, Stephen and Alex, his grandmother, Eugenia, his mother, Donna, his brothers, Christopher(Michelle) and Jonathon(Elizabeth), his aunts and uncles, Dave(Theresa), Karen(Ray), and Ken(Rosetta), along with many cousins, nieces and other Kulik and Ewanio family and friends. There will be no services; however, there is hope for a celebration in his honor, to be scheduled at a later time. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations in his name, can be made to any charitable cancer organizations, of your choosing.
