Hurley sisters and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Marita's passing. I am in shock and my heart hurts. I have so many fond memories at St. Teresa's with Marita, from sports, tennis, her laugh, sense of humor, energy and honesty.
Much love to you all,
Louanne Hein

I had the pleasure and honor to meet and talk with Marita at numerous gatherings at Sheila & Tom’s home. Marita was a delightful woman and obviously cared very much for Jack. The world was a much better place with her in it, Rest In Peace Marita...

I was saddened to hear the news of Marita's passing. She and I both attended high school together in Kansas City at St. Teresa's Academy. She was so very well liked and had a great smile that lit up her face as well as any room that she walked into.
She was a great spirit with a terrific sense of humor and quick wit. Smiling, I'm thinking that may also explain why she's a Cardinal fan vs. a Royals fan!
I am very sorry for your loss and our prayers are with you all at this time. Additionally, I am confident that prayers will be offered in her name at our upcoming 50 year Reunion this October. God Bless you all.

Marita will be dearly missed by our entire family.
She was the love of my brother Jack’s life and she will live forever in our hearts. One of my favorite memories of her was when he called me after attending the Cardinal / Los Angeles game here is St. Louis this summer when they paid tribute to Albert Pujols. She was star struck by him and had to tell me that she witnessed his home run. She was such a huge Cardinal fan and she would light up talking about them. She knew everything about the team. We also had many conversations about how in love she was with my brother and how much he loved her. They truly were soul mates. Their love for cardinals and everything kitties made me smile. While we will miss her bright smile and miss hearing her voice, we now know that she is heaven with the god and the angels and my beautiful boy and that we all be reunited someday. RIP sweet sister. We will love you forever.
