Jim was the oldest twin brother of Joe by 9 minutes! He is and will continually be missed by me and my siblings. He was a good hard working brother who always had a joke to tell and when Joe would join in, it was double trouble! Some of my fondest memories actually came from my Mom regarding Jim & Joe and the crazy things that identical twins would do. Mom woke up one night when she heard a pounding in their bedroom. As she went in she saw Joe pounding around the window so she told him to stop and go back to bed. Immediately, Jim sat up and told her to leave Joe alone because he was fixing the window. They were both asleep and went right back to bed. When she told them the next morning, neither one knew anything about it. This was just one tiny memory of my life living with twins!
The most wonderful memory I will cherish for eternity is the night Jim came to Church with Joe & I. They had a drama about Heaven & Hell. It was a reality check for everyone to search their hearts to know for certain when we would finally take our last breath what would our destination be. Heaven or Hell? Jim was standing between Joe and I and I could feel the emotions coming from him and as the prayer of salvation was prayed he prayed along with the Pastor. After the service he shared his experience with Joe. The last 7 months of his life while confined to a Nursing Home, we talked on the phone about the afterlife and there is no doubt in my heart that he is in the arms of Jesus with our Mom & Dad.
I am sure he is having a blast sharing all of his Saint Peter jokes with the disciples and I can almost hear the crowds laughing.
In fact, it would not surprise me if the astronauts aboard SpaceX will report of some kind of Jubilation in the Heavens and I will undoubtedly call it the sound of Jim's corny jokes! Love you always brother! Judy
