Obituary of James R Kessler Sr
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James R Kessler, Sr., best known to us as Jim, passed on May 23, 2020, at the age of 80.
Jim is survived by wife, Sharon, children, Carole, Jimmy and John, twin brother, Joe, and sisters, Jan and Judy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rose Kessler.
Jim was born on November 14, 1939 to Rose and Arthur. He married Sharon in 1971. The couple welcomed three children into their home, Carole, Jimmy, and John. Jim is also survived by his grandchildren, Ashleigh and Fiona, and his great grandchild, Anastasia.
His children remember him as a selfless, caring father who loved to make others laugh. Jim was also a dedicated worker, retiring from Boeing, formerly McDonnell Douglas, after 39 years at the company.
Jim was accomplished at the art of the one-liner. He was generous with his time and never said no to someone in need. Jim was an avid sportsman with a passion for conservation.
Due to the pandemic and social distancing, there will be no memorial at this time. However, his family hopes for and plans to have a celebration of Jim’s life later this year. If you are interested in this future event, please reach out to the family so that you can be updated as guidelines potentially relax.
If you plan to send flowers, please direct them to Delmar Gardens North, where Jim resided for the past several months. Or, if you prefer, you can mail a donation in Jim’s name, to:
