I’ll always miss Liston and I’ll never forget him. We lived in the same apartment building in the Central West End. He would knock on my door at 7:00 AM while I was soundly asleep and bring me canned goods, usually Butter beans and Gloria’s greens. “That shit’s good for you Jake, It’s full of vitamins.” Liston was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. He took his sense of humor with him when he shuffled off and we’re all worse off for it. RIP.
